I've seen people being really excited about this. Do you guys have any game recommendations for stuff you've played that's going on sale that is really worth getting?

There are quite a few really good games going on sale, but the one that sticks out the most for me is Bastion. It was an excellent game for $20 when it was new, but it's an absolute must-have for $3.74. Borderlands is also pretty awesome.

I bought Terraria on Friday and spent all day Sat. playing it. What an addicting game! You do kinda have to research the game online though, if I just wandered around on my own it would get pretty confusing I think.
-Also bought Orcs Must Die, a fun defend-the-base kinda of game.
I picked up Bastion on your recommendation. I'll let you know what I think.

Bastion's on sale for the next four hours for $3.74 (USD). Really, really excellent game. A steal at that price!
I also grabbed the Arkham Asylum/City pack for $20. Been looking forward to playing those games for a while.

Okay, so results of the Steam sale:
I already had Terraria! I bought it a few months back. So here's what I wound up with after the sale:
-Borderlands
-Braid and some other indie games
-Bastion
-Mass Effect (1 and 2, I never played them)
And actually, regarding Borderlands, it was $15 for four licenses or $5 for just one so I bought four. I have two left to give to friends at the moment, which I MIGHT be persuaded to give to someone who wanted to play, but only if you want to play multiplayer with me some. I gave one license to my buddy Rades. It's not a game Voss would enjoy so I didn't bother giving one to him. ;p

Voss doesn't like shooters? Maybe you can persuade him by mentioning that one of the characters can play as a tank.

I would love to play Borderlands with you Millya! I already have the game, so save that for someone else, but I loved that game once I finally broke down and bought it a while back. I still go back and play through a bit of it once in a while.

I can't play fps. It gives me nausea. It's too bad too because I used to love the genre (Doom 1) but, starting in Doom 2, my brain does not seem able to handle the quick movements.

Ah, yeah that sucks. I'm that way with a lot of 3rd person over-the-shoulder games for some reason.

Agreed, I couldn't get past the first hour of dead space for that reason.
@Ulla: I enjoyed both games thoroughly. I would recommend.

Yep. Worth getting just for the amazing rpg and story.
If you love the IP (as I do) than you'll have trouble quitting them to play anything else. =P
@Millya and Carlctrl: I got Borderlands a few months back. After playing it through a few times it got a little boring, but co-op mode sounds like it'd be a ton of fun.

Co-op totally makes the game. I played through it on my own a few times with different characters, but the game is best played with other people.
