My old guild did this a few times when we were all a little bored or just to have some fun on the forums. Have at it and good luck 
Word Game: May 24 - Feb 25
Word Game: Change One Thing
Game ends 25 May at midnight server. Good luck.
The object of the game is to take the first word posted and change one thing about one letter-- add or subtract one letter or move one letter to create a new word. (Adding "s" to make a plural noun is not allowed.)
Example:
Fan
Fun
Funk
Punk
Pink
Pin
Pine
Line
Lime
Time
etc, etc, etc....
Rules:
~You can play as often as you like, but at least one other person must post before you can post again.
~If a word has been used before, it doesn't count.
~You can change only one thing at a time. (i.e. you can't both move a letter AND add or subtract a letter.)
~Proper names/places don't count.
~Adding "s" to the end of a word to make it plural doesn't count.
~Your word must appear in this Online Dictionary. If you believe your word is uncommon, please post link.
~Make certain your answer is final before submitting (no editing).
~If two people are posting at the same time, the word reverts to the first poster and the later one is ignored. (Anyone can monitor this and clarify in case of confusion.)
~The person who begins a game is the final "judge" on if a word qualifies.
~ English words only, but anything referenced as a word in http://dictionary.reference.com/ counts including Old English and "dialects"
If you have the "last word" in a 24-hour period, you are the winner! No prize other then pride.
