One thing you can do with a gmail address is described in this article.

Basically, when you sign up for, let'S say, wow.

You could have your real address being vosskah@gmail.com.

To make it easy to track and filter (even to the trash)

You can sign up as vosskah+wow_crap@gmail.com

It will send emails to your normal address but the tag will allow you to filter it and also figure out who sells your address.

I use a 2nd email to sign up on random sites so that crap doesnt happen, but I might give this a go
