What are you listening to lately? I'm always on the lookout for new music.
Shaen and I were talking about the Borderlands intros the other day and I remembered liking the song for the original intro. Now I have a new album. (Cage the Elephant/album of the same name). ITunes described them as "Sometimes sounding like an American Arctic Monkeys (by way of Kentucky) or a more heartland-rooted Beck..." Yes, please.
On a related note, the latest Arctic Monkeys album is fantastic and I love it.

Bad Blood by Bastille's been getting a lot of play lately. It's pretty good.

I've got SiriusXM in the car and there's lots of great music on the alternative channels, but my biggest problem is remembering the names of the ones I like. A few bands I've made note of recently:
Capital Cities
Silversun Pickups - no new album, but their new song "Cannibals" is great
Young the Giant
Foster the People

I'm pretty out of touch with music these days. In the car/workvan I listen to Funny 1060 (segments from various stand-up comedy acts). During raids I have trance music playing for my background. My brother-in-law introduced me to Armin Van Buuren's radio show "A State of Trance," and every Christmas he has the top 20 of the year. I just grab the torrent of his "yearmix" that rippers have collected the full versions of. It's a good 6+ hours worth of music with plenty of hits and misses.

I used to be a metal head, still am to some extent so my musical tastes are way different than what's been listed. Lately though I've been listening to Smooth mcGroove(http://www.youtube.com/user/SmoothMcGroove) who does videogame music acapella, its pretty impressive.

For a 40yr old white guy with kids, I am a surprising big indie electronica and nu disco fan. (not edm)
I never listen to radio any more. For services,
Spotify free mode has improved and is decent (but i use the pay version)
Songza has really good playlists that i stream at work
Soundcloud is great to find random stuff
Everyone knows Royals by Lorde, but check out her songs Bravado & Million Dollar Bills. But I think Team or Tennis Court will be the next radio plays from her. She is really good.
A few other artist recommendations by genre, with popular song examples
The Happy Hipster
alt-j = Breezeblocks, Fitzpleasure
Foals = My Number
Atlas Genius = Trojans
Toro Y Moi = Harm in Change
Glitches = Only Time Will Tell
Nu-Mowtown Sound
Mayer Hawthorne = The Walk, Can't Stop (with snoop)
Fitz & The Tantrums
Raphael Saadiq = Good man
Interesting and strangely catchy
Discovery = Swing Tree, Osaka Loop Line
Tune-Yards = Bizness
Reptar = Rainbounce
Friends = I'm his girl
Chvrches = The mother we share
The Knife = We share our mother's health
Gold Panda = You
nu-disco
Breakbot = Fantasy, Baby I'm Yours
Friendly Fires = Paris (aeroplane remix version)
m83 = midnight city
Disclosure = latch, white noise
Munk = down in LA (shazam), kick out the chairs
Sebastian Tellier = La Ritournellle
MNDR = Feed me diamonds (rac remix)

I can't even decide how to jump in here because I listen to ALL the music.
I'd say right now I am concentrating more on listening to Dubstep (not easy to do when you live in BFE Missouri) and hip hop. I do use Spotify to find Dubstep but I'm really missing Turntable.
Anyway, I also love EDM, Rap (including Gangsta :P), Pop/Top 40, Alternative, Hard Rock, Metal, Classic Country ... you get the idea.
Surprisingly, even though I am not religious in the least, I listen to quite a bit of Christian Rock. The reasoning behind this (to me) is that they really have to try hard in order to make it in the mainstream music world so there are a lot of good Christian bands out there. And most of them are simply positive lyrics and not praise music. Bands like Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch, Red, Disciple, Family Force Five... good stuff.

Yeah, you guys got me hooked on turntable.fm and then it went away. I haven't liked any of the other similar ones I've tried. They all seem to be "turntable.fm but with <some unnecessary feature>!".

I guess I'm the oddball here.
I listen to classical music, soundtracks (including warcraft soundtrack), Rush, Foo Fighters, the Nationals, jazz and whatever Millya is listening to at the moment.
Right now I'm listening to the greatest movie soundtrack chorales record and will be listening to music by Ennio Morricone after.
Oh, did I mention I also listen to french music from the 70s and 80s?
So yeah, don't ask me for recommendations.
