Tell us a bit about yourself (the person, not the character.):

I am Formynder, the man behind the man, bear, cat, whathaveyou. I'll
be having my 28th birthday this November, which conveniently coincides
with my official ETS date from the Army. I've been playing WoW since
2005, and was in one of the top raiding guilds on my server up till
the start of TOC, when I got mobilized to Afsuckistan for a year. For
a long while I was on the same guild as He-of-Many-Names (ie,
dirtface, idkfa), and was his roommate for a good bit as well. I
enjoy making witticisms and sarcastic comments while raiding. It's
more important to have fun while raiding than to min-max every little
thing, though I do dislike wiping quite a bit.

I'm tired of filling my WoW need with MMO-Champion, and ready to get
back into the game and play. I should be back on around 1 September,
and hope to find out that Cataclysm comes out not too much after that.

I enjoy playing a Bear. The skills and talents just sound so much
more fun than any other class or spec. Maiming, Mangling,
Pulverizing, Bashing, etc... I've been playing for many years and
still only have one 80 because I just cannot stand to play any other
class as long. I managed to get a Shaman up to 70 once during BC, but
as I'm sure you are aware, those are really boring. Swift Flight Form
is sooo handy. (Especially back when Shadowmeld was awesome).
Tanking has been more fun for me than any other role, even DPSing. As
a tank, I get to control the flow of a fight and feel much more a part
of what is going on than just sitting back and PewPewing or shredding.
Dirtface and I share a similar outlook to raiding, and I know he has
told y'all of some of the hijinks we've pulled.

Raidwise, I pretty much topped out at Burning Crusade, though I have
raided Naxx (until it became quite sickening, I still might be able to
sleepwalk through it) and Ulduar before I was mobilized. I don't have
much experience with 10 mans apart from a little bit of Ulduar, but
eagerly look forward to the challenge they provide, as 25 man raids in
WOTLK proved to be rather simple.

Please describe your previous/current raiding experience.:

Black Temple - Cleared it about 4 months prior to WOTLK. Some of my
favorite raid memories happened here, like tanking the giant cleaving
skeletons on top of raid members who weren't paying attention
(especially after marking them).
Sunwell - Cleared it, though the last two bosses were only after the
buff. I did get to tank Kil'Jaeden though.
Naxx - Cleared when it was still top tier.
Ulduar - Cleared all the way to the final boss, the guild killed him
the week after I no longer had time to play due to training, just
prior to mobilization.
ToC/ToGC - Never hath my bear stepped foot into this raid, though I
hear I'm really not missing much.
ICC - This is but a story to me, I've seen some of the youtube clips
of fights, but when it takes 45 mins to view a 2 minute video...

Mostly these are tanking/offtanking as a bear, though I dpsed a lot
through Ulduar. The guild loved me as a kitty.

Why are you leaving your current guild (if applicable?):
The only guild I'm in now is one with just me and a couple alts in it,
to save an old well-liked guildname, and to have access to a guild
bank.

Do you have an off-spec? How good is your off-spec gear, and are you
willing to play it if needed?:
My off-spec is feral kitty, though I've played a Boomer for a while
too, and don't mind playing either DPS if need be. All of my gear is
rather dated, but when I return home in a few weeks a couple of badge
runs will spruce that up, not too mention the expansion.

Why are you interested in joining Business Time?:
Dirtface has told me quite a few tales of what it is like to raid with
y'all, and it sounds most enjoyable. From all I've heard, I would be
a great fit.

Do you have Ventrilo installed and a working microphone?:
Yes

Is there anything else you'd like to add not covered by the previous
questions?:
I'm still deployed till mid-August, and won't be finished demobilizing
and back to civilian life until the very end of the month. And though
I am currently always available for raiding, I am getting older and
won't be on everyday of the week anymore. It's time to find a gal and
get married before I wind up 40 years old and in my parents' basement.
Which really isn't an option because I'm a Texan, and we have really
nasty clay everywhere so nobody digs basements...

I'm considering leveling a Worgen once Cataclysm is out, but I doubt
it will replace my main because of the ultimate racial, flippy jumps.
Also, shadowmeld is awesome when tanking.

What he's saying here is that he will continue to be available for every raid night until the end of time.

Anyways... he's an IRL friend of mine, and he's aware that the tanking roster is currently full. This app is mostly for any openings that might appear when people switch mains in Cataclysm.
