Trying to open the weakaura's configuration window has been locking up my WoW client. I've deleted the addon and the settings for it and tried reinstalling it. Not sure what is going on

It does the same thing to me as well, Ulla. I let it keep running and it recovers after 30 seconds to a minute.

Seems to be something that should be fixed. I have not waited more than about 15 seconds before closing WoW from the task manager.

I did fix it. I'm back with powerauras.

^^ After realizing that WA would always do that at load, I also made an effort to fix my Power Auras and now am back to that as well.

Opening the Weakauras config ui does take 2-3 minutes to load the first time you do it. Worth it for me because of the higher level of customization is offers.

Fsob, you were right. I think I might have gotten a new verison of Weakauras but not it's a blast. I recreated all my powerauras in just a couple of hours and now creating new ones is a real breeze.
Thanks!

I wouldn't say that, your little gnomish head would become so big, you'd topple.
Now, I especially like the grouping function and the easy way to create progress bars. I've managed to ditch my addon called classtimer in favour of this. It does the same thing but I have even more control over the layout.
I also love the duplicate function. So if I want to create a warning for, let's say, the stacks on Halfus. I just duplicate one I already have, change the spell name and I'm done. About 30 seconds.
Loading the options is not nearly as long as it used to be too. It's instant for me.

Ohh? Options still take 3-4 minutes to load for me which is the thing I like least about it as I can't make an aura while doing a corpse run during a raid.
PowerAuras also had a "ctrl+c, ctrl+v" function if I remember correctly.
I've also managed to replace other addons that I've used. I used to like PowerAuras so much because there wasn't much that I wanted it to do that couldn't be done. With WeakAuras there isn't anything (so far).

Well, I did think of bringing a wow enabled laptop on vacation but thought that I would lose Millya to the dailies... So I left it at home.
