.. yeah

Got the best western next to the con instead of the hilton, a quarter of the price.

Kayla, I'll check the driver version I'm running. Are you running the drivers from the CD or creative's website? Are you running in gaming mode?

I assume this was a conversation started elsewhere, but I'm also running an X-fi. What exactly is the issue?

kayla is pretty much a mute in vent with his new soundcard. His card is very similar to mine, but he doesn't have the same mic boost option.

I don't think I am going to offer any help. Since voss may retaliate with his raid scheduling power against the person who lets Kayla talk again

Wise decision.

And that was the best one I've heard all week.

By "pretty much a mute" do you mean there's no sound or the sound is just very low?

sorry for stating the obvious, but you've double checked your Vent input settings/config right?

FML Thier useless.

The only know "fix" in regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0007\Settings]
"MicBoost"=dword:00000000

Changing 0 to a 1

Though this didnt work for me either I tweaked some of the outbounds so it kind of replicates a boost but the hiss in the background is pretty horrific because of it so now its a matter of toning that down and it should be good to go.
